Reviews - The Silos at Prairie Vale

Nice rustic silo, very clean and tastefully decorated. Just the right touches of home. Breakfast was tasty, actually excellent! Located on a quiet country farm, its not far from the small town of Green Ridge, or the bigger location of Sedalia. You can even get to the Amish country easily. So shopping, antiquing or going to the state fair are all easily accessible. After a busy active day you can retire to a quiet sanctuary of rest and respite. Doug and Wendy are good people, friendly and helpful. The farm ambassadors- outdoor kitties are available anytime for a rub. Bald eagles fly overhead as does the B2 -Stealth- a real treat for city folks as Whiteman Airforce Base isn’t far away. A pond is on site for fishing and there is a fire ring for toasting marshmallows and bikes are available to ride on the Katy Trail. Review by Cherylynn

What a peaceful and cozy place away from the norm of a hotel room. The Silos at Prairie Vale are about ten minutes from town and well worth the drive if you want a relaxing experience. Doug and Wendy were great hosts and added special little touches for our stay. We had homemade quiche and muffins left in our refrigerator for breakfast. Along with juice and a snack basket. Since it was Valentines’s Day when we stayed, there were little chocolates too. The place was clean and very well equipped if you just wanted to stay and cook your own food. I would highly recommend the Silos at Prairie Vale for a couple getaway or with your family to experience farm life. Looking forward to when we can go back. Review by Kim

Get ready for your coziest Airbnb experience yet! We were in awe of the innovation that went into the design of the silo; Doug and Wendy thought of everything! Their small personal touches were charming and made our stay extra convenient. There were k-cups, tea, and small snacks stocked in the kitchen, which was so nice after a day of travel. The rural beauty of its location was one of the best parts! We were in town for a wedding and found the drive to town to be pleasant and easy. The bed was super comfortable and we made great use of the futon for the kids. I highly recommend staying at The Silo if you are anywhere near Sedalia! Review by Brandi Rockley
